"The Man Who Laughs" to resonate with contemporary readers.
This literary masterpiece, which inspired the creation of the Joker character, explores the captivating story of Gwynplaine, a character
with a disfigured smile akin to the iconic Joker.

 

The publisher aims to connect the classic work with modern audiences, drawing parallels between the characters and infusing a fresh perspective into the English translation's book jacket.
