This literary masterpiece, which inspired the creation of the Joker character, explores the captivating story of Gwynplaine, a character
with a disfigured smile akin to the iconic Joker.
The publisher aims to connect the classic work with modern audiences, drawing parallels between the characters and infusing a fresh perspective into the English translation's book jacket.

Unica started as a late-night snack craving. Slicing up some oranges in my dorm kitchen, I was struck by the beauty of the orange slice. I thought, "How can I preserve this?" I did some minimal research and explored fruit preservation through oven baking. Though the results weren't perfect, I didn't give up. I invested in a dehydrator during my summer break, and honed my skills through trial and error. I successfully dehydrated my first batch, and that's where it all began.
I turned fruit into one-of-a-kind, handcrafted earrings. What began as a passion project has evolved into a small business, where each piece is crafted, painted, and made with love and care.
